Hermès Scarf 90 cm – C'est la Fête – Daiske Nomura (2020) – Double-Sided Special Edition

VENDU

C'est la Fête (Party Time) is one of Daiske Nomura's most instantly recognisable scarves. Created for Hermès in 2012 (in the 70 cm version), this spectacular design shows a skeleton rider on a macabre yet joyful ride, somewhere between vanitas, tattoo art, rock and gothic imagery. We present here a special edition from 2020 in the double-sided technique developed by the Maison Hermès. This particular edition can be identified notably by the “H” placed behind the skeleton on horseback.

The scarf offers two radically different colour readings: a grey sky on one side, intense orange on the other. Double-sided printing allows each side to have its own palette while keeping the extraordinary precision of the design.

New condition, never worn, no flaws. “S” stamp under the care label.

A word from Diane

C'est la Fête is one of those Hermès designs you recognise immediately. Daiske Nomura achieves something rather rare: bringing a frankly gothic, contemporary imagination into the Hermès scarf without ever losing the elegance of the Maison. This double-sided special edition of the classic 2012 scarf (in 70 cm) is particularly successful. A very beautiful piece for Nomura enthusiasts and for collectors of unusual Hermès scarves alike. Daiske Nomura would go on to continue his collaboration with the Maison, notably with Chorus Stellarum. His creations are increasingly sought after by collectors today.
