Hermès Scarf 90 cm – Le Carrousel du Tigre Royal – Katie Scott (2025)

VENDU

Le Carrousel du Tigre Royal (The Royal Tiger Carousel) is a Hermès scarf designed by the British illustrator Katie Scott for the Spring-Summer 2025 collection. Katie Scott made her name with her encyclopaedic naturalist plates — her books Animalium, Botanicum and Historium have become references — and here she brings to Hermès all the precision of her line in the service of a teeming bestiary. New condition, never worn, delivered with its Hermès box. Issued in few copies and very quickly sold out in the boutiques, it is a highly sought-after scarf.

A word from Diane

At the centre of the scarf, a royal tiger sits enthroned, facing forward, with a hypnotic gaze. Around it, in concentric circles, parades a procession of wild animals: zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, gazelles, oryx, panther, lemur, meerkat, birds, tortoise, horse, goat. All of this is set on a modern geometric ground — blue, pink and yellow triangles, bright motifs with Memphis accents — which contrasts joyfully with the encyclopaedic precision of the animals. An unexpected dialogue between the zoological plate and graphic pop. It is a scarf that has fun. Katie Scott places the royal tiger at the centre like a totem, then sets a whole animal world turning around it, on a pop ground reminiscent of the 1980s, without ever losing the precision of the naturalist line. The result is joyful and teeming!
